MISTRANSLATIONS AND NAME MEANINGS IN THE KING JAMES BIBLE

I have written many blogs in the past which correct mistranslations in the King James as well as newer translations of the Bible. I have said in the past that the King James is still the best English translated Bible there is, but I have recently come to know the Gideon’s Bible. The language is updated and many of the KJV mistranslations are corrected. Without going back to correct my previous posts, I will now say the Gideon’s Bible is the best English Bible out there. The reason why I don’t want to go back and correct myself is so you know I am still learning myself, since I had not looked into a Gideon’s at that time. I still suggest for all to get a Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance and use a KJV with it if you want a full, true word of God. The Strong’s traces every word of the KJV back to the original Hebrew and Greek without the influence of men. This is extremely important for the true student.

The most important mistranslation in the KJV is inside the New Testament with the phrase “end of the world”. Only in the NT is that phrase written, and in each case in the original Greek the word there for “world” does not trace back to “κοσμοσ” (cos-mos). Every single instance the original Greek word was actually “αιων” (ahee-own), which is their word for age. In some examples, it can mean world but let’s look at the gospel of Matthew. Four times the phrase “end of the world” shows up, again all were “αιων” in Greek, but other times the word “world” in Matthew cosmos is used. Why would Matthew use different words if he meant the same thing? Answer is: he didn’t mean the same thing. He meant “age”, so he used a different Greek word than cosmos. What makes this so important is it shows there is no end of the world. If you look at Matt. 24:3, the disciples ask Jesus for the signs of his return and the end of the age. If you take that to heart and read Revelation 20, then you can make sense of it. When Jesus returns, that ends this age and begins a new age that will last a little over a thousand years. Without knowing Jesus’ return ends this age, Rev. 20 cannot be made sense of. The Gideon’s corrects those mistakes.

In one of the most intriguing mistranslations of the KJV is the craft Ezekiel saw. In the KJV it says the color of it was amber. That is a mistranslation. The Hebrew word there was (khazh-mal), which means “polished spectrum metal with an amber hue”, or beryl. Not a grainy amber color. Given the other descriptions of the craft Ezekiel saw, it could not be anything made of this world at that time. The Gideon’s also corrects this.

Jesus wasn’t our Lord’s real name. Jesus is the English pronunciation of the Greek version of the Hebrew name Yeshua (or Y’shua). Y’shua means “God saved”. If you took Y’shua and directly translated it to English, it would be Joshua. It doesn’t matter so much what you call him, as long as you call him Christ, Saviour, Lord, and the Son of the Living God. His mother Mary is the English version of Maria. Pronounced in their native Aramaic tongue, it would sound like (mah-ree-AH). Maria in Hebrew means “bitter”.

Satan in the Hebrew means “opponent, adversary”, and in some instances can mean “persecute”. Very apt names, which the definitions really mean something. Satan is the opponent and adversary, and has/will persecute(d) our creation. Another very important mistranslation in the KJV is because of an assumption made by men. In Isaiah 14:12, the word “Lucifer” shows up for the only time in the KJV. The original Hebrew there wasn’t anything near Lucifer at all. The original Hebrew word there was “Helel”. Why change it to Lucifer? Because the Catholic Church, which authored the KJV assumed Isaiah was talking about the King of Babylon still, whose name was Lucifer. Problem with that is if Isaiah was still talking about the King of Babylon, the name would have also been Lucifer in the Hebrew. Since Helel was used, it must mean Isaiah was speaking of something else. Those that authored the KJV failed anyway since most attribute the word “Lucifer” as one of the names of Satan. Isaiah was indeed speaking of the Devil. Helel means “morningstar” or “brightness”. One must ask, why the huge differences in not only the names but the meanings? Helel/Lucifer is mentioned only one time in the entire Bible, so why only there? It describes how Helel fell. After he fell, God changed his name. He was the morningstar. Now he’s the adversary.

Another important and intriguing mistranslation of the KJV is the word “giants” in Genesis 6:4. The original Hebrew word there was “nephil” (neh-feel), which is their word for “fallen”. This mistranslation also shows up in Numbers 13:33, which also describes them being like grasshoppers. If you look at the plague of the locusts in Revelation 9, their master was Apollyon, which is another name in the Greek for the Devil. These points are significant since it shows who those “giants” really were in Genesis and Numbers. They were the fallen angels. “Nephilium” is the Hebrew word for “ones”. When Helel fell, he took many angels with him. They became known as “nephil”, and their master is the Devil. The plague of locusts is the plague of the fallen angels. I didn’t look if the Gideon’s corrects this or not.

What too many call the final battle between good and evil before the end of the world, Armageddon has nothing to do with a time. Armageddon is two words put together. There is “erme” which means “a gathering”, and Megiddo is a place. Megiddo is in the valley of Jezreel in northern Israel. Armageddon means “a gathering in Megiddo”. That is where the world will come to meet for battle against Israel and the forces of God. Both the OT and NT speak of Megiddo being the place for the final battle, but as I stated before, not for the end of the world. Armageddon will be fought at the climax of this age, but afterward a new age will begin once Y’shua has returned.

I hope this post not only gives you a new insight on the written Word, but also inspires you to get a Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance since it will open your eyes. It doesn’t preach. It doesn’t have any link to a denomination. All it does is trace the words back to the original languages for a pure word of God without the influence of men. If you truly want to learn, a Strong’s is a must.

IS THERE A PURGATORY?

In a word, no. Don’t worry, I’ll elaborate. Purgatory was invented by men to do one thing: increase money to the church. If you donate enough money, your stay in purgatory will be less than if you didn’t. This is another power taken away from God by some churches and put into the hands of men. Always when men take powers away from God, they invent something that is not written anywhere in the Bible.

There is no evidence of a purgatory in the Bible, and I’ve looked. Those that came up with purgatory claim it’s to purify souls before reaching heaven. The soul has no need of purification because it’s already out of this sinful human flesh. The soul is pure already. Whether that soul is worthy of heaven, everlasting life, or punishment is up to One. Nobody else. Either way, once the soul has been loosened from this human prison it goes straight to the Maker. From there God chooses whether that soul goes with Abraham and Lazarus or on the other side of the gulf with the rich man. There is no pit stop on its way.

One should ask themselves if a person makes the right choice and lives their lives honorably why God would make them suffer through something called “purgatory”. It’s just another manmade creation to make those that believe in it to give more money to the churches that have purgatory as part of their doctrine.

Paul said to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord. Does that sound like there is a stop at something at purgatory? On the rare occasion when someone dies and are brought back to life, the common thing seen is a tunnel of white light. If you imagine yourself travelling through space with stars, galaxies, and other heavenly objects flying by you many times the speed of light, what would you be seeing? A tunnel of white light. Does that sound like there is a purgatory?

Men do such wicked things in the eyes of God by inventing things of God that do not exist for the sake of their own cause. This is the silliest and least biblical example possible. I dare any theologian, priest, cardinal, pope to find me biblical evidence of purgatory. They can’t do it because it doesn’t exist. Men should be careful about inventing things to take power away from God and putting power into their own hands on such matters because God just may invent some things right back of His own. This is one of those things that angers me personally. I find it insulting when men invent things of God with no backing from God’s word. I issue a challenge to those that believe in purgatory. Find me biblical evidence. Not logic of why there might or should be a purgatory. Not who came up with it. Not it’s purpose. Find me biblical evidence of it. There is no such thing as purgatory. Take that to the bank.

THE AUTHENTIC BIBLICAL HISTORY OF SATAN

Some people hear “Lucifer” and “Satan” and just think those are the names of the devil and don’t even question why. There is a huge difference between the two names and when they were his names. When taking all of this in with the meaning of his names, it can provide you a whole lot of wisdom about not just him, but about us and why we are here. That’s a trip for you to take if you decide to though. I cannot go any further than where this post ends.

In the KJV and other translated versions of the Bible, for some reason they mistranslated the word "Lucifer". Lucifer in the Hebrew is actually Helel (hay-LALE). If you open a Hebrew OT, it would read in the Hebrew "Helel", not Lucifer. The definition of it is “morning star”. Only one time does the Bible mention the word Helel, or “Lucifer”. That is in Isaiah 14:12. There’s a reason for that. It mentions what Helel’s crime was, in which he was banished from God and sentenced to everlasting torture. It says Helel exalted himself above all of the other stars of God and tried to be the god of the congregation. Helel was Satan’s name before he committed his crime.

Satan in the Hebrew means “the opponent” or “adversary”. There’s a reason for that too. Satan is what he became after his crime. He was the morning star, and now he’s the adversary. Since the days of Adam, he has been known as Satan. The reason why he’s mentioned as Lucifer in Isaiah 14:12 is because that’s what he was known as when he committed this crime. Since the days of Adam, Satan has been the adversary. People don’t trace back what is written in Revelation 20:2 back to the serpent written of in Genesis with Adam and Eve. “And he laid hold on the dragon, THAT OLD SERPENT, which is the devil and Satan and bound him for a thousand years.” What was John of Patmos referring to?

Ba’al was a fertility god of the pagans, but was he more than that? In Elijah’s time, Ba’al was the great opponent god and Jezebel was the chief pagan prophetess. As Paul reiterates the conversation between Elijah and God in Romans 11, he adds something that really puts traditional teaching into question. As is written, God tells Elijah “I have reserved to myself 7000 men who have not bowed the knee to Ba’al.” Traditional teachers have said that God meant there were 7000 people living in Israel who did not bow the knee to this pagan god. That’s wrong. If God reserves to himself a person, it means that that particular person has not lived yet. Proof of that is what Paul said afterward. “Even so at this present time there is also a remnant according to the election of grace.” A remnant. That means there are still some left. Elijah lived around 900 BC. Paul wrote this around 900 years afterward. There couldn’t be any living still if the traditional teachers are correct. God reserves to himself a person by not letting them live. In that particular conversation God meant that He has reserved to Himself 7000 men (and women) for the last generation. When else? Another secret to all of this is what Ba’al truly was. Ba’al may have been the pagan god of fertility, but he was also the deity of Venus. Lucifer means the morning star. What is the morning star? Venus is. Take it from there. I cannot go any further. I wish you luck.

A CHRISTIAN'S ENTITLEMENT?

I have discussions with other Christians of all kinds of denominations, mostly through the internet since I do not go to church. I learn on my own using a Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance to trace back every word to the original Hebrew and Greek languages. In some discussions I get points of view that are stridently defended which I cannot ascertain how they arrive to those particular conclusions. I get it that denominations teach certain doctrines, but the students fail to ask questions that should raise infrared flags. Easy questions.

The last discussion I had was with several at a time in which they all believe that every Christian was destined to become one. That any Christian is God’s elect, which means God’s chosen. I asked them “is every Christian destined to become one” since this was their obvious point of view. They never decided to ask themselves this question in this particular way and will not answer me. All they will do is point out verses twisted to their point of view. They won’t answer that particular question I asked because in their heart of hearts it doesn’t sound right. These are students of the Reformed Lutheran Church I was told. Really? Every Christian was destined to become one? What about everyone else? Why are they condemned for something they cannot do?

I pointed out to them the parable of the wedding feast which Jesus said many are called, but few are chosen. The best I got was that the parable’s meaning was within its direct context. If that’s the case, then it’s not a parable at all, is it? That would mean the parable of the mustard seed is only about mustard seeds. The parable of the workers of a vineyard was confined to those workers in the field, and so on. As I explained, it is written that Christians are the bride of Christ when he returns. The parable meant that many are called to be at this wedding but few are chosen. Obviously it doesn’t say all are chosen, so that means everyone that will be there cannot be chosen to be there. If there are people at this wedding that are neither chosen or called, then that's it. That should end that debate right there, right? Not for these people. I realize it’s hard to admit you’re wrong about certain things, especially if it’s coming from someone that you entrust to tell you the truth about God’s word. But it doesn’t get any plainer than the parable of the wedding feast that not all Christians were destined to become Christians.

If that’s not enough, then those that believe this should ask yourselves some simple questions:

1. Would only Christians be able to sin? God will not condemn those who are not accountable. If they cannot become a Christian, then how can they achieve forgiveness? If they cannot achieve forgiveness, then they shouldn’t be able to sin.

2. Is every Christian a prophet? Prophets were chosen before they were put in the womb, as is written of Jeremiah. They were not chosen for anything they’ve done in this life to become prophets. If every Christian was also chosen to become one, then what sets them apart from Jeremiah or any other prophet? Another thing, why even have prophets? They would serve no purpose if those who turn to God are destined to.

3. Should you speak about your faith? There’s a difference between expressing your faith and praising God. Should speaking about your faith be for you or for others? If it’s for others, which should be your answer, then it’s pointless, right? They cannot be swayed since they aren’t allowed to. Those who can be swayed are destined to find God anyway.

4. What did they ever do to make God choose them to become Christians, but not prophets? More leftovers from question #2.

5. What is the purpose of this life? Only those who were to find grace were supposed to find it. This life then means nothing. Our souls must be much older than our flesh since God chose Jeremiah before he was in the womb. So why have this life? Someone pointed out to me that what I'm not understanding is that this is about separating the sheep from the goats, not making sheep out of goats. I find that statement amazing and reminds me why I don't go to church. I'm sorry, but that's a garbage statement. We should not preach if the goats cannot be turned into sheep. If there will be no goats turned into sheep, then the divide already exists so again why have this life? OY!

6. Why would Jesus have to speak to people who would become Christians in parables but spoke openly to his disciples if only Christians were able to be swayed? What would be the need of a parable? If there are only those that can understand Jesus' words when they hear it, couldn't he just speak openly to them?

These are some very simple questions, and I’m sure there are some of you that can add questions that would be impossible to answer with any confidence by someone holding fast to that doctrine. The ONLY ones destined to become Christian are the few. The prophets. God’s true elect. God chose them. By choosing Jesus or God, you are making your election to Him. Not God making His election of you. When this life is over and the next age comes, then you have a destiny because your fate is sealed. Only those who are the election of grace have a true destiny in this life. As is written of the wedding feast, the election of grace are few. There is no number, but the last generation will have seven thousand as is written in Romans 11. I will leave a link to the explanation of the reiteration of Paul of God and Elijah’s conversation and prove that those seven thousand men and women were not on Earth at that time. In order for God to reserve anyone, He would have to keep their souls until it was time for them to live. That’s how God reserves anyone. The only two that God allowed to live and reserve them are Elijah and Enoch. They never died.

People need to open their eyes a bit. I realize only the election of grace are without the spirit of slumber, but some things should be easily surpassed by easy questions. Men put on their own slumber with their sense of entitlement, ignorance, and ego. When you are unwilling ( I do not believe unable) to ask yourselves easy questions, then you have hit your ceiling. You cannot go any further, despite God having His own ceiling for you. If you hinder yourselves, you will not even come close to what God is allowing you to reach. Wake up!

HERETICS IN LAMB'S CLOTHING

This is the time when our teachers will fail us the most. It is written it will be so, and so it will be done. With the Easter and Passover holidays over, and the Greek Orthodox Πασχα (PAS-kuh) here today, the worst of the Christian scholars come out to take advantage of the time and put forth some of the worst things you’ll ever hear coming from a supposed Christian. Every year Christian scholars, priests, and other so-called experts meet at something called “The Jesus Seminars”. Many of the Catholic hierarchy come and share their beliefs and usually dominate the discussion. In years past, they have put forth that Jesus never rose from the dead. That Pilate never washed his hands of the crucifixion. That Jesus was eaten by dogs. These are from Christian teachers, mind you. Every year around Easter they meet and come up with heresies against our Lord’s word.

It is written that in the last days there will be a falling away from the faith, as is written in 2nd Thes. 2:3. In Ezekiel 13:20 it says that teachers who teach their flock how to fly will have their flock taken away from them. Something that flies in the face of the rapture doctrine. Also back in 2nd Thes. 2:3 it says that Jesus will not return until the son of perdition is revealed, clarifying what rapture believers say 1st Thes. speaks about, but I digress.

The last days are here. We are not in the Tribulation Period as of yet, but it’s coming soon. Israel is all alone now since they no longer have an ally in the White House. The judgment of the US will come as is written in Isaiah 18:1-3. The last days there will be many false christs and will deceive many. Some will be so convincing that only the election of grace will not be swayed by their words. They aren’t allowed to. Not because they won’t be here. They most certainly will be.

The point of this post is to make sure you know that your teachers will fail you. Not all of them. Perhaps maybe not most of them. Definitely many of them will though. They will twist and turn doctrine and supposed scientific finding to lead you away from what is truly written. They’re already doing it. There is a history of doing this, but it will come to a climax very soon. That is why Jesus finds no fault in only two of the seven churches of Christ in Revelation chapters 2 and 3. That is why he threatens to remove the Church of Ephesus from its place as a Christian church. That church happens to be the biggest denominational church among all in the world. That goes right in line how so many of the attendees at the Jesus Seminars are those representing the Catholic church and wearing their white collars. I don’t know what they’ve come up with for this Easter holiday. Who knows what else they can come up with in the future. One thing is for certain, it will be contrary to what is written. It will be heresy. It will anger our Lord. Those who are of the election of grace KNOW the Lord’s day will come, and He will have His vengeance.

To my Greek friends out there, ΚΑΛΩ ΠΑΣΧΑ! Enjoy your τσουρεκι.

2009, PREDICTIONS AND A LOOK FORWARD

2008 was a bad year from nearly all perspectives. The only improvement in 2008 is the situation in Iraq. President Bush and Donald Rumsfeld's stubborn refusal to put in more troops and change strategy postponed the potential success of Iraq off until 2008. If they would have admitted that things weren't going well, maybe they would have made that change. At least President Bush finally opened his eyes after republicans lost the 2006 midterm election and fired Rumsfeld. Rumsfeld would never have admitted the failure of his policy. Good riddance!

Economic hardships and international turmoil weighed on the minds of Americans this past election year. America blindly wanted change, just as they did in 2006. They didn't take in how unpopular the democratically-led congress was because their approval rating was nearly a third of Bush's. Be careful of what you wish for.

Will 2009 pick up where 2008 left off? Will things improve or will things get worse? Here are some of my predictions for 2009. For most I hope I am wrong, but we shall see. I foresee 2009 as a giant step downward. History will see 2008 merely as a transitional year, and a harbinger of the evil ahead.

Oil prices - Just because gas prices have come down in recent months, that doesn't mean they will stay there. As a matter of fact, there is nothing different between now and when gas prices went to $4 a gallon. We are still by far energy dependent. We elected a party that refuses to drill offshore while other countries are off our shores taking what could be ours. OPEC is still the oil producing mafia, and whatever they say goes. The only reason that oil prices went down was because President Bush said he was lifting restrictions to drill offshore. The very next day oil prices started to drop. People who invested nothing in the future's markets saw that they had a good run, but it was time to sell. A hefty profit they made as Americans struggled to get to work. President Obama promises to increase taxes on the oil companies. As many know, businesses do not pay taxes. They increase the price of their products and have us pay for their taxes. In order to actually drill offshore though, congress has to also lift their ban on offshore drilling. The election assured us that this will not happen. The pieces are in place for a return to a steep increase in oil prices. Tensions in the Middle East will also be an excuse for the rise in oil prices. 2009 will see a steady climb in prices by the end of the year.

Israel - Israel is using the time between administration changes to try to clean as much house as possible. They're not stupid. They know President Obama will try to cut their legs from under them should Israel be forced to respond to Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and Hamas. How far it will go will depend on how poll numbers see the Kadima Party in the upcoming elections. If poll numbers show a favorability towards Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud Party, then it will probably be a significant battle ahead. If poll numbers are in favor of the centrist Kadima Party, then they will only go as far as it takes to make sure they keep power. Recently, Netanyahu and the Likud Party are opening a bigger lead in polls over Livni and the Kadima. Elections will take place February 10th.

If Netanyahu wins, Israel will have a leader that will not back down from any threat in the region. He's a hawk, and rightfully so. Israel's enemies are not only on its doorstep in nearly every direction, but they have enemies within. Netanyahu will bring a new policy in dealing with Iran and Syria. Look to Israel sending a message to Iran through Syria. Keep an eye out on what happens to Damascus. Also keep an eye on Madrid sticking its nose where it doesn't belong. The rise of the EU will continue.

Russia and China - Both will grow in power. Technology and a smaller world has helped them in ways most can't imagine. Both countries are using countries who hated us for years, but in years past couldn't really do much to us with their hate. Now with technology being more advanced, we are forced to pay heavy attention to the countries we just saw as a nuisance before. That will open up both countries to push their agendas forward. President Obama and the Democratic Party in charge doesn't have the backbone it takes to confront them. We're already in Iraq and Afghanistan, much with Russia and China's help. They blocked us from putting forth a strong message to Saddam Hussein as they made money from the much too seldomly covered UN's "Oil For Food" scandal. What really helps China is that we are in so much debt to them. Americans realize the future Chinese threat, but administration after administration doesn't seem to. For this, we are destined to pay a price.

President Obama - The world will test him quickly, just as stated by VP Joe Biden. The enemies of the US saw our election of Obama as a blink. They will at least try to take advantage of our perceived weakness. I foresee trouble again in Iraq. Iran will be responsible, but will of course have Russia's permission. Iran cannot sneeze without Russia's permission. When the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, it was because they wanted to reach the southern shore of Asia. They didn't choose Iran because they're already allies, so they didn't need to. Biden's prediction will be accurate to a point, but I don't even think he realizes how much Obama will be tested and by how many fronts this test will come from. Maybe by the end of the year to quell the Iraqi uprising, Biden's idea of partitioning Iraq will come to fruition. In 2008, it seemed like the whole world couldn't stand us. In 2009, it will seem like the whole world has risen up against us.

Economy - There is no way out of it. We are headed for very troubled times. I won't blame the year ahead economically on President Obama, but I fear his administration will make things worse for the long run. More borrowing and higher spending is the opposite of what we should be doing. He's still sticking to the tax cuts idea, but won't say when he will get rid of Bush's tax cuts on the supposed wealthy. That's more borrowing from countries like China. That weakens more the American dollar, which again fell against other currencies around the world. President Bush and the republicans from years ago have handed a heavy baton to President Obama, because they lost all fiscal responsibility. The republicans wanted to keep their power so they showed the dems they can even outspend them with pork projects and increased spending. During a time of war, that was a recipe for disaster. Instead of dems showing they can be somewhat fiscally responsible, they're going to say to the republicans "you think you can outspend us? We're democrats. No one outspends us! Who are you kidding?!" That will drop the already weak dollar even more. Factories and businesses will continue to close. Unemployment will crash the economy. I'm sorry to say, I really don't see a way out of this. Even the great optimists must have a feeling in the pit of their stomachs of our nation's future economic outlook. 2008 was only a prognosticator. 2009 will be the fulfillment.

Global Warming - Finally people will see this as a fraud perpetrated by those with a vested economic interest and a thirst to be in the news. This will be the second straight year of cooling weather. As winter approaches at the end of 2009, cold temperatures will again foretell a cooler than average season. That will be three winters in a row with cold temperatures. People will line up in front of Al Gore's mansion, snowballs at the ready waiting for him to peek his alpaca wearing head from around the corner. Scientists will point to the cooling trend as being a drop in sunspot activity. Instead of saying this comes in cycles, they will again predict an ice age looming. They don't care if they get proven wrong again. They just love being in the news.

These are a few of my predictions for 2009. I'm pretty good with my predictions I must admit. These predictions if they come true will not provide me with any satisfaction. They're too dire with too great of consequences. I will enjoy the global warming hysteria crumbling though. I have a feeling that I'm not the only one among you that will have a big smile over this. 2010 will begin where 2009 left off, but in the middle months things will change. They will not change for the better. Perhaps it will look as such, but the seeds of evil will be planted by the end of 2010. Oh! And a happy new year to you! ; )

THE REAL CHRISTMAS STORY

Even though people widely accept that Jesus, our Saviour was born on or close to December 25th, this is not really the case. When Jesus was born, it is written there were shepherds tending to their flocks at night. This would have only been done during the Harvest Moon. That would be right around late September. What the significance of December 25th is that it may have been the date Jesus was conceived by God. It would have been right around that time in order for him to be born right at the time of the Harvest Moon, so there is some significance of this date. This is the real miracle, right? Not the virgin birth, but the conception of a virgin. If a virgin is pregnant, she’s going to give birth. The miracle may have happened on December 25th, but Jesus was not born anywhere around that date.  Just one of those things Christians should know.

Many intellectuals claim that Christians stole Christmas from the pagans and took the tradition of decorating the tree from them also. That is only partly correct. The pagans did decorate their winter holiday trees, but they also worshipped them. Christians do not worship the trees they set up and decorate. Christians also give gifts to loved ones traditionally to honor what the three wise men did when they brought the baby Jesus gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Maybe many of them have lost the idea of that, but that’s how the tradition started.

Just thought it would be a good idea to set a couple of things straight as the anniversary of the conception of Christ comes. Merry Christmas everyone, and have a happy New Year. God bless.

THE ATTACK UPON GOD

The attacks upon God and those who believe in Him are becoming more sharp and mainstream in recent years. What these so-called personal geniuses don’t realize is that they are fulfilling scripture by doing so. I hear these masters of the universe say the darnedest things with such fervor and authority about things they know nothing about. They always have to add that little shot to those who believe, especially Christians, saying that they are uneducated and believe in just an adult Santa Claus myth. Nothing like putting those down that disagree. I don’t mind taking shots or giving them much, but those I give the shots to have cast the first stone.

Atheists are prideful hypocrites who say they are for equal treatment and harmony among all of creation, when in fact they want to be recognized by everyone else as being the great thinkers of our time and never miss an opportunity to try to get under the skin of their Christian coinhabitants. They try as hard as they can to stick out from amongst the crowd with their middle-child syndrome. They especially use Christian holidays to make sure that they are heard. Anyone that says they are insulted or offended at God being referred to in our currency or a nativity scene displayed by a town or city during Christmas season is lying to you. One can’t look at a dollar bill and get irate. One can’t look at people praising someone they believe to be their Saviour and feel like they’ve had their faces spat upon. This is their way of letting you know they are smarter than you because they don’t believe in God. They believe in evolution.

The intellectuals and atheists are big believers in evolution. That is their reason for being. This is their god, whether they like to think of it this way or not. Evolution is their god. The supreme prophet of the Evolution god was Darwin. A prophet who didn’t even believe the theory he proposed himself. With this belief, it allows them to live their life without restriction. Why have restrictions when there is nothing to answer for after their lives are done? This is a benefit for their belief. Possibly even an excuse to not use their own willpower to do things their conscience tells them not to do. “If there’s no God, I don’t have to listen to my conscience. My conscience is just my mind playing tricks on me, mastered by the society of the feebleminded believers who think certain things are wrong. My conscience does not exist.”

The sad thing is that their belief in evolution has questions that they can’t answer themselves. I used to frustrate fifty year old adults when I was a teenager before I even read the Bible with my questions to them. I would ask them questions like “if evolution is real, then how come there are still cockroaches?” The best answer I got was “well some evolved and some didn’t.” I thought evolution was constant. Why would some of the species evolve but some not? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. There should not be dogs, birds, fish, mosquitos, or bears. If evolution really exists, then there should be at the most only a few species below us on Earth right now. Evolution is evolved. Evolved is evolution. Another question I asked was “if the Earth is four billion years old, is that enough time for an amoeba to make it all the way to a human considering there are well over a million different types of insect alone?” Seeing years of things they perceived to be facts erode on their faces was pretty sad to see. They didn’t like me much, those intellectuals, but they knew I was no fool. I heard one say “well there are different classes of species and that’s how it happened”. Well, how did they divide into those classes? What decision making ability was there to say “I’m going to turn into this now”? If a species adapts to that climate or environment, how do they change themselves? What creature was the first that said “I need a digestive system so I can nourish myself and excrete waste”, and then do it? If the first species to have nourishment from eating ate, they would die without a way to excrete the waste. That would be the end of that new species. For those who claim they are supergeniuses to the Nth degree, these questions they have not asked themselves doesn’t speak well of their thinking ability. Maybe they do think of those questions, but since this is their belief and it’s not in God, they’d rather just let it rest there and not wonder about things they don’t have the answers to. Willingly blinding themselves from their own accusation upon those they disagree, that Christians cannot think for themselves. Evolution is proof they cannot think very well. The true intellectual is the true fool. Even Bill Maher, who never fails to insult Christians, believes in evolution but admits something must have happened to get life started. DUH! Albert Einstein is known as maybe the smartest man in the last century, and he believed in God. He even went as far as to say that if anyone can look into the dark reaches of space and the glorious nature on Earth, and not realize there was a God to create it all is blind.

A favorite attack of these atheists and intellectuals upon those that believe in God say that there have been more people killed in the name of religion than anything else combined. Hogwash. Religion is just an excuse. Racism is at the crux of the matter when it comes to killing by the masses. Racism is the true reason. Religion, no matter what religion it is, is always the excuse. Before there were Irish Catholics and Protestants fighting eachother, there were the red and black Irish fighting. Before there were Sunni and Shiite, there were Arabs and Persians fighting. Look up your history. I know, again this is too easy to come up with, which reiterates my point that the true intellectual is the true fool.

Atheists say “how can you believe in something you can’t see?” I believe in love, but I’ve never seen love. I see the evidence of love everywhere, just as I see the evidence of God everywhere. Love cannot be seen by anyone. I know many atheists say that the Judeo-Christian God is invisible, like it’s written that He is somewhere in the Bible. Actually Moses saw God, but only from behind as God walked into the sanctuary as Moses and the Israelites roamed through the wilderness. Moses was not allowed to see God’s face, but he saw Him. Nowhere does it say God is invisible.

If an atheist is truly enquiring, then it’s good to talk about things of God. If you know things pretty assuringly, then speak with some authority. If you’re a product of traditional teaching, then I don’t suggest doing this because I can ask questions about your belief you cannot answer as well. This world is NOT seven thousand years old. Dinosaurs truly existed many thousands of years ago. Don’t let any traditional teacher fool you in stating otherwise. If an atheist is there to just rile you up and get under your skin by belittling what you believe in, then don’t cast your pearls. If they cannot admit the existence of their own conscience which is at no distance away from them, they aren’t ready to hear of the Truth far above their heads. God bless.

MY RELIGIOUS BLOGS LIST

This is a list of Christian blogs I have written from my "One of the Election of Grace" page. In these blogs I correct misperceptions and give scripture to prove as such. On some occasions I will trace back certains words written in the Bible back to their original languages of Hebrew and Greek when necessary. Some of the posts are for the advanced learner, but all will read things they've never read before and will have their curiosity peaked. I urge you to take some time and read a few of these. You won't regret it.

GOD'S STANDARDS FOR SAINTHOOD

What God sees as a saint is far different than what men do. For some reason men have raised standards for sainthood far past God’s standards. The Catholic church makes it impossible in their own doctrine to become a saint. According to the Catholic church, a person has to perform three miracles in order to be qualified for canonization. That in itself is an error. No man performs a miracle. God does through that man or woman. That’s something the Catholic church should know on their own.

To become a saint in God’s eyes all a person has to do is have their faith in Jesus as the Messiah intact. Everyone who dies with their faith is a saint. Everyone. There are many, many saints upon this Earth right now. As is written in Ephesians 1:1, there were saints in Ephesus Paul wrote to. Those were just people who were Christians. People who accepted Christ fully in their hearts and humbled themselves before their Lord. Not people who brought fire out of the sky or healed the lame by having a missing limb grow back. As if men on their own had the ability to do that anyway. In Revelation 20 which is about the next age after Jesus returns, Jesus will reign on Earth with his saints for a thousand years. That is everyone who in this life has made the right choice will be here reaping their rewards and being with their loved ones, at least those who made the right choice. Not just those who Catholic doctrine says are saints.

So why do the standards of men far outreach the standards of God? An incredible amount of conceit, that’s why. That’s also why most teachers feel God’s elect are people who just chose Christ, even though the term is GOD’S elect. God’s choice, not man’s. Such highmindedness and self-empowerment is not what God wants us to have. To set standards higher than God’s isn’t something that makes God happy. That’s like saying to a soul that has done great things in the eyes of God “you can be His saint, but you’re not worthy of being one of ours. You should have performed three miracles which were all witnessed as well as this and that and then you could have joined us.” I’d rather be one of God’s saints than a saint in the eyes of men anytime anyway.

CHRIST ON THE CROSS

One of the more puzzling things written in the Bible are during Christ’s last moments when he said “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” For some reason the traditional explanation is that this was Christ’s moment of doubt and pain. If that were the case, then he would have sinned. To accuse God of forsaking them is a sin for anyone. I know some will say “Jesus couldn’t sin”, but that’s foolish. That’s also shortchanging his painstaking life and death to say that he didn’t have the ability to sin. To pay such a heavy price of the sins of our creation, it wouldn’t be right if God cheated and made it to where his Messiah didn’t have the ability to sin. Plus, Satan did tempt Jesus in the desert. Why tempt someone that didn’t have the ability to sin? Why would Satan waste his breath? Satan knew exactly who Jesus was and knew he had the ability to sin. How many of you has he come to and offered all of the kingdoms of the world to? None.

So why wasn’t what Jesus said on the cross a sin? The genius of him saying that, and what he was referring to is beyond amazing. Him saying that was designed to make a wise person ask that question, as long as they aren’t too influenced by the traditional teaching of men. In order for Jesus to be the Messiah, then he had to live his life, from beginning to end without sin. So why wasn’t that a sin? Maybe instead of talking to God, maybe he had something else on his mind. “He said ‘my God, why hast thou forsaken me”, so of course he was talking to God.” Well, actually that isn’t the case at all.

What Jesus did by saying that on the cross was to fulfill scripture. What scripture? Psalm 22. Psalm 22 starts off by saying “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” It’s been there the whole time. You read that psalm down to verse 16 and it says “For dogs have compassed me, the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me; they pierced my hands and my feet.” That is how Christ died. He had his hands and feet pierced, did he not? When were the psalms written? Most, if not all of the psalms were written by King David around 1000 BC. This was written a thousand years before Christ was on the cross. In verse 18 it says his garments were sold, just like what was written in the gospels. What is more amazing is when you really analyze that whole thing, the Jews knew nothing of crucifixion until the Romans came in 76 BC. This was written around nine hundred years before that. Psalm 22 is obviously the prophecy of the Messiah’s last moments. Only the truly blind will say it is not after reading it, which I had one try to tell me not too long ago.

Why Jesus didn’t sin when he said that on the cross was because he wasn’t talking to God at all. He was fulfilling scripture. He was saying Psalm 22 is him. That shows how genius Psalm 22 even is. It’s supposed to, when Jesus repeats it on the cross, make us ask “why wasn’t that a sin?” So it’s up to us to find the answer somewhere.

Not only does it prove Jesus was the Messiah, to which no explanation by an atheist can come up with as a counter, but it also brings the Old and the New Testaments together. It proves there must be a prophetic author. It proves that both books are written by God through the Holy Spirit and out of His elect. Just by that psalm and what Jesus said on the cross proves all of these things beyond any skeptic’s analytical power attempting to tear it down. They can’t do it. Point this out to them and see if they can. Watch them scramble and struggle to find an answer for this.

ANALYZING THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE

The four horsemen of the Apocalypse is one of the most intriguing tales of the Bible. Each rider of the horse brings about a plague that is designed to make it difficult for men. Prideful men. Things to humble men down from their self-imposed pedestals. Men, fools and teachers alike wonder aloud “why would a good God let this happen?” The answer is beyond their comprehension at least at this point in this age’s history. At the blowing of the seventh trump, they will have their answer. All of God’s mysteries will be revealed and the spirit of slumber upon them will be lifted. Until then, it is not for anyone but the election of grace to know. They do not have the spirit of slumber. I will say this though, our souls are much older than our bodies. This Earth despite what your teachers have told you is much older than a few thousand years old. This age is several thousand years old. Not the world. If you trace what is written in the NT back to the original Greek, you would see that this is an age we’re living in. There will be another one afterward. Being that our souls are much older than our human bodies, there are things our creation may have done beforehand that God found disgraceful. Some, albeit very few never offended God. That’s how God chose certain people to be his prophets. As God told Jeremiah, “I knew you when you were in your mother’s womb” meaning God knew him before he was in his mother’s womb. There must have been a reason why God chose Jeremiah and other prophets to be His prophets. God would not create a soul and say at random “okay, you’re going to be my prophet”. There are things at work here that will be revealed, perhaps in this very generation itself.

The rider of the first horse of the Apocalypse is riding a white horse. His power was to be able to conquer much of Earth. The color of the horse being white is significant because this is the Antichrist who will be as Christ coming in riding on a white horse. The Antichrist will conquer the world to be his one world government. We’re closer to that now than anyone might think. With the recent economic collapses revealing the vulnerabilities of the global economy, it goes to show our economies are already tied to one another.

The rider of the red horse is next, and his power was to take peace from the Earth. Again, we’re right at the door of this possibly happening. Iran is close to having a nuclear bomb to which Israel cannot let them have. Israel as they have done in times past will see to it that this does not come to pass. Iran has the backing of many countries which are not coincidentally the same countries listed as the ones written in the Bible that will come against Israel. The Arab World, Russia, China, and others will be among these nations. Right now a snapping of a twig can send this world into a world war. Even nonbelievers can see this as a possibility.

The rider of the black horse is more nuanced than the others. He was given a pair of balances. There was a voice that said “a measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.” As most know, this is a plague on the economy. What is a bit of a mystery is how specific this plague really is and it goes to show how subtle some of God’s words really are. One part is that the oil and the wine aren’t actually oil and wine at all. If there is a great plague upon the economy, of course oil and wine would be hurt. Oil you don’t just cook with but you anoint with. Wine is fermented grape juice, but during fermentation impurities come out of the grape juice. What that really says is “don’t hurt the anointed and the pure”. To prove this further, Psalm 105:15 says “touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” Exactly what my interpretation of Revelation 4:6. It’s either that or that the price of oil and wine will not go up when everything else does. You be the judge. Two, specifically one measure of wheat and three measures of barley make up a good sized loaf of bread. You can make two decent sized loaves of bread. It says that each a measure of wheat and three measures of barley are a penny. What is a penny according to what is written? The answer is in Matthew chapter 20. Just about all of that chapter is a parable from Christ which means that it doesn’t matter when a person comes to Christ in their life. That they will receive the same things a person will receive if they came to Christ early in their lives. Hidden in that parable is what a penny is. The man who owned the land offered men to work in his field a penny for a day’s work. That seems so innocent there and one would just blow by it except for one of the elect. A penny represents a poor working man’s daily wage. This clarifies the economic plague of the black horse making it mean it would take a poor working man’s daily wage to be able to buy a loaf or so of bread. If that seems far-fetched as how there could be a plague so strong, one must be a student of history. In Russia shortly before and after communism fell, people lined up in the streets to pay $20 for a loaf of bread. I remember bread being mentioned specifically in those old news stories. This will be a plague of great economic woe and will give power to the one who has “the solution”.

The rider of the last horse rides a pale horse. Perhaps the worst of all of the horsemen. The rider of the pale horse had Hell follow with him. His name was Death. This is no longer the Antichrist as a human being anymore, but Satan being kicked down to Earth himself. Satan is Death, and Hell will follow him. Satan will make war with Israel and the nations aligned with Israel. War, hunger, and pestilences will kill a fourth part of the Earth. Pestilence isn’t written there specifically, but among the things described by Jesus in Matthew 24 and other gospels when he describes the end times says that there will be many pestilences. We’ve had SARS and the bird flu threaten to take many people for the last several years now. An outbreak of either or both would do great damage. AIDS already has taken many, and continues to be the biggest threat to the people of Africa.

These plagues are frightening to say the least, but if this is the generation to see it then it has a lot of work to do. This is the most selfish and lost generation in this age’s history. So many do not believe and belittle things that are of God. Many who do believe don’t fully believe what is written. “It’s all in the interpretation” I’ve heard many times. That’s such a lazy thought to have. Of course it’s in the interpretation, but God’s word is GOD’S WORD. Not man’s. Trace things back to the original languages of Hebrew and Greek. Those are God’s words written in its original form. The King James is man’s translation of God’s word. Read with a Strong’s Concordance which will explain to you what it originally says in the Hebrew for the OT and the Greek for the NT. Get ready. Prepare yourselves. We are at the door.

ANTICHRIST POSSIBILITIES

There are some silly candidates put forth by people as possibly being the Antichrist. George Bush, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and others. They’re not even worthy of commenting on other than those are just silly and stupid prospects as who the Antichrist might be.

There are enough clues in the Bible to at least tell everyone the origin of the Antichrist. In Daniel 7 it describes where the Antichrist will come from. It says that he will come from the fourth and last empire to take over Israel, and that it will be a reformation of this empire. In the redeveloping of this empire, the eleventh nation to join will be diverse from all of the others. This is the nation that the Antichrist will come from. The fourth empire to come was the Roman Empire. That means it will be a reformation of this empire that the Antichrist will come from. If I’m right and many others are also right, the European Union is the new Roman Empire. Look at what it’s done. It was at first a modest trade organization between European countries, and now it’s got its own army and now is the law of Europe. They brought forth the European currency, the euro. Great power lies with the EU, and that power is growing. What was the eleventh nation to join? Both Spain and Portugal came in at the same time and were the eleventh nations. So which is it? The headquarters of the EU is now in Madrid. When attacks upon and by Israel happen, Madrid steps in. If the EU is indeed the new Roman Empire, then he will most likely come from Spain.

1. King Juan Carlos of Spain: He’s the most well-known possible Antichrist. I have good reason to believe it is not him. He’s old. One thing the Antichrist probably won’t be. He does have a lot going for him. He’s the King of Spain. His royal blood is second to only one other man. His ancestor was once King of Jerusalem. He has a lot of power in Spain. He’s more than just a titled King. He does have responsibilities beyond the royal family in Britain. I still have a very strong belief it is not him.

2. Javier Solana: Some have looked at him as the Antichrist as well. He has a lot of power within the EU and NATO as well. He is Spain’s top representative to the EU on security matters. Again, he’s too old to be the Antichrist in my opinion. I’m more sure of him not being the Antichrist than King Juan Carlos.

3. Prince Felipe: The most credible Antichrist possibility. Pope Pius XII said that when Jerusalem is in Israeli control that it will begin “the countdown” towards the tribulation period. That happened in 1967 after the Six Day War. Prince Felipe was born in 1968. The Bible says that the number of his name will be six-six-six. Prince Felipe has two ways his name can fit in this. Known mostly as Prince Felipe Borbon Carlos, he also has six official titles. Prince of Asturia, Prince of Viana, Prince of Girona, Duke of Montblanc, Count of Cervera, and Lord of Balaguer. He is a good looking man. Lucifer was God’s most beautiful angel. He has all of his father’s royal blood and then some. His mother is the Queen of Greece. Not only will he inherit his father’s titles and has the same bloodline, but he has even more royalty in him than his father. Prince Felipe is the one that sticks out in my mind. It might not be him, but he has all of the qualities necessary. He to me is the most intriguing possibility.

Some might say “why debate about this”. Well why would God give us clues? There’s a reason for that. He’s not going to give us clues and expect us not to look into them. We are inching closer everyday to that day. It’s a good thing to keep your eyes opened. No matter who it will be, all will bow to him for at least a moment. Only the election of grace will not bow their knee at all. There will only be seven thousand of them when that day comes. The decision upon this creation doesn’t rest on if they ever bow their knee. It’s will they keep their faith at the end of the age. Will they stand their ground when they know what is right. Remember, the sounding of the seventh trump will remove the spirit of slumber upon this creation, and the mystery of everything is finished. That will be what is most important. All will know Jesus is the Christ and Satan is the evil one, but many will be so weak they will still fall.

THE REAL BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON

The “Battle of Armageddon” is well recognized as the last battle between good and evil before the world ends. This is unequivocally wrong. First off, anytime the NT mentions the end of the world, that word “world” there is actually the Greek word ”αιων” (ahee-OWN) which really means “age”. Not world. This is true in Matthew 24:3 when the disciples privily asked Jesus the signs of his coming and the end of the world. That word “world” is really “age” in its original language. Secondly, there is a war mentioned after the supposed “last war on Earth”. It’s right there in Revelation 20, isn’t it? After Satan is loosened from his prison he gathers together those who believe in him to make war with the saints. So how is the Battle of Armageddon the last worldly battle between good and evil? It’s not.

As is written in the very important original Greek, when Jesus returns to Earth that will end this age. Not the world, but the age. After that there is a new age to begin. There is a whole thousand year period written in Revelation where Jesus reigns on Earth with his saints while Satan is in the bottomless pit, right? It’s been in the Bible the whole time, so why forsake this writing?

Armageddon comes from Megiddo, which is a large hill south of the Valley of Jezreel in northern Israel. This is where opposing forces come to try to take over Israel and especially Jerusalem. Satan at that point will be the Antichrist. To clarify, Satan will be here in the flesh after he is kicked down to Earth from heaven by Michael and his angels. For the first three and a half years of the great tribulation period, the Antichrist will be a human being with the spirit of Satan in him, but he will die. Three days later he will seemingly rise again but it will not any longer be a human being with the spirit of Satan in him. It will be Satan himself.

The nations that come to be the evil nations will be the eastern nations. Russia, the Arab World, China, and other eastern nations will gather at Megiddo and will be ready to invade. The nations fighting for Israel, hence Jerusalem will be the western nations. Not all western nations obviously. I’m speaking in general terms.

It is very possible that at the end of the next age that Satan and his followers will again come from Megiddo, but that’s not written in Revelation 20. Megiddo is the site of many battles of the past. To make that assumption could very well be correct, but that’s only an assumption one can make. It’s certainly not based on fact, so one shouldn’t assume it is anything but a mere possibility. As is written in Rev. 20, Satan and his deceived will be stopped by God. That will end the next age. Then the books will be opened and judgment is given. Not beforehand. Read with your own eyes and let God’s word explain itself to you. You will see that the Battle of Armageddon is not the last battle between good and evil before the end of the world. Take God’s word or the word of men. That’s your choice to make.
